Homecoming!!

I LOVE HOMECOMING!! But seriously, I think that it is probably one of my most favorite OSU traditions!

Let me give you a recap of my last few days:
Thursday night at 8pm I took part in what is known to be All Night Pomp. What is this you ask? Well I'm about to tell you! All night pomp consists of sororities and fraternities pairing together to use pencils to poke tissue paper through chicken wire. Why do we do this? So we can prove the fact that we have the BEST homecoming in all the nation! We spend hours at a time on our hands and knees (even in the pouring rain) pushing tissue paper through tiny little holes so we can say with pride "That's my house deck!" Or, "That's my float!" After 22 hours of pure chaos, I was finally able to say "That's a wrap!"
BUT, oh no, it doesn't end there! After all the house decks are up and finished the second homecoming tradition is Walk-Around on Friday night. Thousands of people come to Stillwater, OK to gaze upon the modern marvels constructed by Greek Life.
Saturdays (my favorite day of the homecoming tradition) begin with the parade! If you have never been to a parade, shame on you! You're totally missing out, but it's OK...you probably don't know any better because you haven't experience the greatness of a parade :)

And finally, after the parade is over with, people hang around for the main event: OSU football!!!! Today we're facing Nebraska. Now, some of you who read this might be thinking to yourself "There goes OSU's winning streak." What do I say? "GOOOOO POKES!!!!!"  Have some faith people!! I have complete confidence in my cowboys, in fact my predictions for this game are 23-21 OSU!! This game's gonna be a good one, so turn on your tvs, tune into your radio stations and cheer for your cowboys!!

Here I go!

SO, the other day I made a comment to my roommate wondering if I was cool enough to have a blog. I see all these people who have blogs, and I decided that I wanted my own. I can't promise that it will be entertaining, interesting, or even worthy of the time it would take to read it, but here it is...I finally have a blog!
